I recently had the great privilege of writing articles in the NLT Every Women’s Bible! It is a modern, easy-to-read translation, but the distinct part of this Bible is all the articles written about the women in the Bible, by women from around the world! The reflections are real-life applications that reflect specific, often difficult, life situations that connect with women in the Bible. 

I enjoyed writing some of these articles, trying to put myself in the place of some of the women and the struggles of life that they faced. I learned to “read between the lines” to see how their culture was shaping their experiences and opportunities and, ultimately, how God met them. The variety of female perspectives offers a kaleidoscope of life experiences. Dr. Naomi Cramer Overton and her team have done an amazing, creative job of pulling together the beautiful diversity of writers. It is an honor to have been counted among them!
